Social media is a fast and powerful route to market for your content. You can use it to increase your readership, meet new prospects and engage with your existing customers.
Whilst working on the Zero to Blogger book with Sarah we thought about ways that social media plays in content distribution and we compiled a chart for you. You can see at a glance what each tool does.
As a blogger Sarah prefers Hootsuite and as a social media practitioner I prefer Tweetdeck. Using this social media comparison chart you can see what will work for you.

I had used Surveymonkey before as a paid service and the free service from Datapoo.com is equivalent. I love it.
Warren, this is one of the most comprehensive single articles on blogging I have ever read. I already have my own blog, but I must confess I gleaned something new oday. Thanks very much for the information. Excellent post as usual.

Hi Warren and Sarah
Love the site “Optimal” theme in black looks brilliant.
I’m guessing that you aren’t using the Genesis Mobile Responsive Slider, but still love the slider.
I’m interested in Social media, but sadly I only use twitter.
I’ve just subscribed to get future post notifications and hopefully you will show me the way forward to mix and match social media.
BTW – I was a MarketMeSuite user, but I don’t like their new version so I’m using Hootsuite at the moment.
I know that Sarah loves Hootsuite and I’m using it partly on her recommendation.

Love Hootsuite, no idea why himself wastes his time with Tweetdeck

Hi Sarah

Looked like the Genesis slider plugin rather than the Genesis responsive slider plugin?
If you are using the Genesis responsive slider let me know and I’ll send a screenshot.
